Field Day 2012

This post is a little late. Field Day was on Saturday 2nd June, on "the most important weekend of our generation" according to Metronomy. Why they said that I don't not know. Because it was the diamond Jubilee weekend?(!) I hope not. Maybe because it marks the beginning of them making it big, which would make a bit more sense in terms of OUR generation.

For me it was a very important weekend because it was the first one after finishing my degree! I could finally BREATHE. Since then I have been busy with remembering what having a social life is like. Stand out bands for me were Friends, Metronomy and Beirut; the last of whom who I unfortunately didn't get any decent photos of.

Field Day

The one festival I have managed to find the money and the time away from my fruit fly to go to. Started by sitting on the grass to watch Willy Mason, ended with MDMA gob in my hair (an almost-fight involving a very high man broke out just behind us during John Cale) but happy nonetheless because we were right at the front for Warpaint.
Only saw the end of the Cloud Control set from the back of a large crowd in a much too small tent. So basically I didn't see it. But what I heard was amazing, reckon they would've been my favourite act of the day had I got there on time and not been distracted by jerk chicken; and the jerk chicken guy. Yum.

Still in the Pink

Summer at last. Must: waste time, throw shapes, catch the sun.
